Is Inverleith Park, the best place for Outdoor Fitness Training in Edinburgh?
Updated: Apr 16
Having trained clients and taught classes in Inverleith Park I thought I'd write a little post about what I like about it best.
Close to the very centre of Edinburgh, it is a popular park for very good reason. There are so many parts to it and it is so diverse. It is massive in size.
With tennis courts, a basketball court, kids play area, a fitness trail, rugby pitches, football pitches, table tennis tables and a duck pond it has so much!
It is also the home of my TRX group classes!
While Edinburgh does have loads of parks few have such good facilities. It is a little let down by it's lack of toilet, but with the Botanic Gardens just beside it, at least there is an option.
Over the years, I have delivered many personal training sessions in Inverleith Park. It can be busy in some areas at peak times in good weather, but it is always easy to fit a quiet spot.
The monkey bars are a favourite of many.
I do run a free TRX fitness introduction at Inverleith which can help people prepare for attending a full class.
